New legislation covering South Australia’s architectural services means that only qualified, registered architects will be able to legitimately call themselves an ‘architect’, as the title is now protected by law. The change was introduced in the Architectural Practice Act 2009, which replaced the Architects Act of 1939, and offers greater certainty to consumers about the architectural skills and expertise they are buying.
